Power Bench to Smart Table Conversion Kit

There are times when you have to make a cut longer than you can do on your Power Bench.  For instance you need to rip long pieces from a full sheet of plywood.  Normally you would have to set up your Smart Table to make the cuts.  This requires more floor space, something that is often limited. 

There is a better solution.  This kit will let you convert your Power Bench to a Smart Table in just a few minutes.  The kit lets you add vertical pieces of wood to your bench that give support to the work piece, and allow clearance for the EZ Clamps or Repeaters. 

The kit contains plastic extrusions that slide into the self aligning slot of the SME.  You just add 3/4" x 3 1/2" wood to the extrusions to complete the conversion. 

There are 6 24" sections of the extrusion and sufficient screws to mount wood that you provide.  You can use any wood you have on hand.  After years of use, if the edge of the wood gets too chewed up from the saw cuts, you just replace it with another piece.

The extrusion fits the self aligning slot of any EZ produce, not just the SME.  The Back-to-Back, Rail, or Super Back-to-Back also have slots and with this extrusion, there are all kinds of other possible uses you can come up with.  For instance, a short section with  holes drilled in the wood could be mounted in a side SME on the bench to hold small tools to help keep them from getting misplaced.

If needed, the extrusion can be easily cut into shorter sections with any saw.
