	A dangerous and difficult tapered cut? NOT ANYMORE Believe it or not, this "simple" tapered cut sends thousands of people to the emergency room every year. 	Now you see them, Now you don't Two smart clamps are included with every EZ Smart System Package. The low profile design of the smart clamp allows you to drop your guide system anywhere on the smart table between the moveable slats.
	A system within a system They are designed to work with the EZ Smart system. Now, you can cut narrow pieces safer, easier,better, and even faster. The double clamping tracks on the guide rail allow for clamping at both sides and closer to the edge.
	Designed to work correctly. Never mind the looks. The minimum narrow clamping capacity is 1.5". The maximum clamping thickness is 2.5". This photo shows a piece of lumber clamped onto the underside of the guide.

	An EZ Smart narrow clamping feature If you only need to cut narrower than 1.5" on occasion, you can rotate the smart clamp as shown. (Be sure to keep the clamp out of the blades reach) Now, you can process materials as narrow as 1/2". Impressive? Wait until you see the Smart Clamping System.

For even more intricate, faster, and easier clamping. (typically needed for arts and crafts style woodworking) The Smart Clamping system is the answer. With the correct clamping pressure, you can secure your materials and move them for your next cut, without the need to clamp and re-clamp every time. If you are making edges or narrow strips, just push your material over and make your next cut

	Use your own smart clamps and save A. Two smart clamps are included with every EZ Smart Guide System Package. (SGS) B. They're designed to accept the smart clamping system upgrade (SCS-U) in order for you to have a complete Smart Clamping System (SCS) and save $40.00
	To connect the (SCS-U) upgrade to your smart clamps is easy. Just slide them in as shown in the photo.
	Remove the black boots and connect them with the spring and nylon lock washer as shown. Hand tighten. No tools neccesary.
	This is the complete Smart Clamping System (SCS).

	The SCS acts to provide perfectly level clamping pressure. You set your thickness at the back of the clamping bars as shown using the chrome adjustment wheels
	Now that your thickness is set, place your material on the front of clamping bars and adjust the black clamp knobs
	This perfect level pressure sets you up for a perfectly perpendicular cut and lets you clamp extremely narrow material.
	Now, flip the guide right-side-up, and you are ready to cut. The design of the Smart table allows you to adjust the slats so that they do not interfere with cutting
	The Smart Clamping System is also unique in the fact that it acts as it's own legs. When connected to the underside of the guide rail, it raises the material up above the work surface. Hence, It can be used on any table or the floor. Click on the photo. Note that using four smart clamps also gives this "mobile workstation" capability.

In order to rout, we need to secure the guide rail to the materials. Then, we need to secure the materials & the guide rail to the table to prevent both from shifting while routing (Routing causes a good deal of lateral force). The guide rail becomes one with the wood, and the wood becomes one with the table. Here is a smart clamp that can reach your Smart Table to keep the material in place.

Additionally, the Long Smart Clamp can be used for other applications (ie. cutting 6 x 6 material with a 16" circular saw). The Long Smart Clamp comes in very handy for oversize material. We are sure that you will find more applications. We can make special long clamps upon request.
